Russia will not be able to compete at Portland’s Indoor World Championships

world indoor championshipPortland’s Indoor World Championships, in Oregon, will not have among their partecipants the Russian athletes.

In fact, the commission which will judge the new Russian anti-doping system will not end its job before the end of March.

IAAF established five criteria that Russia must satisfy in order to allow their athletes to take part in the international competitions but the controls will start on the 1st of January 2016 until the 27th of March 2016, when the Indoor Championships will be over; indeed, they will take place from 17th to 20th of March.

Instead, the five countries deemed not compliant and the six “at risk” will take part in the competition. They will have time up to the 18th of March to regularise themselves.
