Last night Usain Bolt put around his neck the eight olympic gold medal winning the 200m final in Rio running in 19”78.
Now the only missing piece for the legendary third olympic triple: the gold with the 4x100m relay.
A race full of emotions, with a great head to head for the bronze medal, thanks also to the absence of Justin Gatlin, stuck in the semifinals.
Silver went to the rising star Andre De Grasse (20″02), whilst the bronze needed the photofinish to be assigned to Christophe Lemaitre (20″12) leaving Adam Gemili (20″12) without words. An amazing last 60m allowed the french to finish in front big athletes like LaShawn Merritt (20″19) and Churandi Martina (20″13).
