There is less than one month left for the Indoor Wolrd Championships in Portland, and USATF took care to remember all the jumper and the shot putter that something has changed in the course of the final for the long jump. the triple jump and the shot put.
Unlikely the traditional systems, each jumper/shot putter will have three initial events to try to enter among the first 8, after that they will have only two events more. The last shot/jump will be reserved only for the first four athlete of the temporary ranking.
This will lead to a frenetic research of the high positions, motivating the athletes which are used to stand on the high steps to perform at their best during the phase of qualification as well.
So as not to make the athlete coming untrained, a new way of information has developped among the colleagues as, for instance, the American shot putter Michelle Carter, who posted on Instagram the new rules asking to share it.
🎯🎯For Long and Triple Jumpers and Shot Put please know that there is a new format for the finals. You will not have 3 attempts in the final you will have 2 throws or jumps and the top 4 will have a 3rd attempt. That's a game changer.
